An initiative by the Co-ordination Centre for Integrated Coastal Zone Management

Good organization, control and monitoring are absolutely necessary if the numerous, widely diverging activities in the relatively small area are to run smoothly.

An extensive network of measuring sensors, navigation systems and information sources ensures that all activities can safely take place together and in proximity of one another. Various scientific research institutes provide the necessary information and advice to support policy decisions.
